Quinoa! The Queen of all Grains? Or is it Seeds?

Quinoa is a healthy addition to just about any diet.  While most people think of quinoa as a grain, it is actually a seed and it’s packed with nutrients! Since it contains all nine essential amino acids,  it’s even considered a complete protein!  Quinoa is an excellent option for replacing conventional protein sources, like meat or tofu, and it’s easy to prepare!

In honor of this super food, we are sharing one of our favorite summertime recipes: Quinoa Super Salad!  This delicious salad (served cold) is a true summertime picnic favorite and puts a new spin on conventional pasta salad.
