This Sunday is Mother’s Day, a special day set aside to honor mothers, motherhood and all the great things moms do for the world. It’s nice to give a special mother in your life flowers, a gift or even just a hug to let them know they are doing a great job.
Here at Shiloh Farms, we suggest giving mothers a healthy and wholesome family brunch or breakfast in bed! And one of our favorite recipes is Almond Pancakes! They are delicious, especially when served with maple syrup, a side of fresh fruit and a glass of milk or cup of tea. She is sure to be delighted!
¼ cup water or sour milk
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
¼ tsp. salt
1 tbsp. favorite sweetener
1 cup Shiloh Farms Almond Flour
Mix ingredients together and cook as you would other pancakes. The only real difference is that they won’t “bubble” on top the same way as regular pancakes. Flip them when the underside is brown. Serve with your favorite topping. Enjoy!
Suggestion: Almond Flour differs a bit from one batch to the other, so you may have to adjust the amount of liquid to get the thickness you want. For fluffier pancakes, add 1 tsp. of baking powder.
